There are a lot of all-you-can-eat restaurants in Jakarta, typically self-service barbecues and shabu-shabu. They are also known to be expensive, but fortunately, there are a variety of affordable AYCE restaurants around the town now.

If you happen to be in Jakarta and are looking for a place to hang out with good (unlimited) food and experience, check out some of these restaurants.

Pochajjang, a local Korean barbecue chain, has over 50 outlets all over Indonesia. You can find their outlets in some Jakarta areas like Puri, Sunter, Alam Sutra, Bintaro, Gading Serpong, and more. It typically operates from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., although this may vary depending on the outlet.

Its menu starts at Rp 99,000++, which already allows you to have as much premium beef as you want. You can get the all-you-can-eat wagyu beef option too for Rp 129,900++.

You can choose four types of sauce for your beef: bulgogi, honey soy, spicy bulgogi, and black pepper.

Other than beef, they also have Korean side dishes like fried chicken, japchae (Korean glass noodles) and pajeon (Korean vegetable pancake).

Kitamura is a Japanese shabu-shabu all-you-can-eat restaurant located at Jalan Gandaria 1 No. 68, Kramat Pela, Central Jakarta. It is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day.

This restaurant is fairly new — or at least, you probably don't get to see much of it because it opened just before the pandemic started in 2019. You can enjoy all you can eat shabu-shabu for 90 minutes with two different types of menu.

Its all-you-can-eat Makushita package (Rp 99,000++) includes two types of meat: Australian Beef and U.S. Prime Beef. Meanwhile, its other all-you-can-eat package Yokozuna (Rp 129,000++) has Wagyu Beef as well.

To complement your dining experience, it also provides two out of four soup bases for you to try on in your pot.

Bamboo Dim Sum offers an all-you-can-eat dim sum menu. It is not a stranger to Jakarta's dining scape — it has been open for a while, and you can find its outlet in Jalan Kelapa Cengkir Raya, Kelapa Gading Tim and North Jakarta. It operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day.

With a measly sum of Rp 65,000++, you can enjoy delicious dim sum dishes all you want. The menu is divided into two types, fried and steamed. Either menu features typical favorites such as siomay, chicken, squid with mushrooms or hakau and swikio, as well as unique choices such as sweet banana bread and chocolate mantou.
